The Hershey Legacy is an educational and historical resource created to preserve and share the story of Milton S. Hershey and Catherine “Kitty” Hershey.
The Hershey Legacy website is owned and maintained by organizations founded by or connected to Milton and Catherine Hershey. These organizations, collectively known as the Hershey entities, share a commitment to preserving and celebrating the Hersheys’ enduring impact on education, community, and opportunity.

Milton Hershey School
Milton Hershey School is one of the world’s best private schools, where qualifying students in pre-K through 12th grade live and learn on campus and receive an exceptional educational experience—with all costs covered.
Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning
Catherine Hershey Schools for Early Learning is a subsidiary of MHS focused on early education for lower-income children. CHS provides weekday care and education for children from six weeks to age 5 from qualifying families—with all costs covered.
Hershey Trust Company
Hershey Trust Company is a state-chartered trust company. It provides administration for and investment management of the Milton Hershey School Trust, the M.S. Hershey Foundation Trust, and the Hershey Cemetery Trust.
The M.S. Hershey Foundation
The M.S. Hershey Foundation was established in 1935 by Milton S. Hershey to promote educational and cultural enrichment for the citizens of Derry Township, Pennsylvania. Today, it operates The Hershey Story Museum, Hershey Gardens, Hershey Theatre, and Hershey Community Archives.
The Hershey Company
The Hershey Company is one of North America’s largest chocolate manufacturers. Known for iconic brands like HERSHEY’S Milk Chocolate Bar, KISSES, and REESE’S Peanut Butter Cups, it also operates a growing snacks division. Hershey Entertainment & Resorts (HE&R) is a world-class entertainment and hospitality company. It owns and operates (or supports) many attractions, dining options, recreational activities, resorts, and entertainment venues across Hershey, including Hersheypark.
